Medha Consultancy was founded by Ms Payel Ghosh in 2012 with the aim of providing consultancy on Parenting to new-age parents. For the millennial generation, where the information flow is at the lightning speed as well the volume is tremendous, the data points are ever increasing but the knowledge is diminishing! In this fast paced time, many young moms have very little time and patience to get trained on unconventional things (like parenting) from earlier generation and sometimes their inputs are out dated or insufficient to tackle today’s challenges.

Though Parent education is gradually getting traction in the west, in India it’s almost first-of-a-kind offering. Medha Consultancy, having started with only two parents in the first year has crossed a journey of six years helping more than 5000 families who got directly benefited from various activities of Medha Consultancy.

Payel, a certified Parent Educator brings in close to eight years of expertise in the parenting education field. Besides her regular classroom sessions at Medha Consultancy, she conducts workshops on Positive Parenting in different Institutions. She has served many organizations voluntarily through such workshops on Positive Parenting.  Over three thousand families have been benefitted with her Positive Parenting tips from such sessions.

Payel is also a frequent contributor in various newspaper columns in আনন্দবাজার পত্রিকা, এই সময়, India Today, সংবাদ প্রতিদিন etc. She is also a frequent guest in leading TV channels like Dooradarshan, News 18 Bangla, ABP Ananda, Zee 24 Ghanta at various talk shows on Parenting.

She is the author of two Bengali books (“ভাল-বাসায় শৈশব” and “ইশকুলের মুশকিল আসান”) on Positive Parenting published by Dey’s publishing.
