Talkathon on Vital Education’ ….the workshop I took today (Api 22, 2018) at The Future Foundation School, Kolkata. The students were very much interactive. We did some role plays on topics such as – assertive communication, team building and accepting defeat. Also a query handling session was done. There I got a serious feedback from them. Most of the students were complaining that they are getting tired to run after the marks and grades but they are compelled to do so as their parents always scold on them on those two parameters . They also think that there are no other discussions happening at home but these, where parents take active participations.
Dear Parents… please try to bridge the gap with some interesting and innovative activities with them. I also have a humble request to them not to give a constant push for marks and grades but for the value education and life skills. Please encourage them to take some new responsibilities, arrange family meetings to understand their grievances . These are the ways through which you can find out the original potential of your children.
